Membership

Membership Information  
Membership entitles you to: reduced registration fees, ability to vote for officers and council,  serve on committees, propose site locations for meetings, vote on site locations for meetings, and access to Neurotoxicity Research.  
Members in good standing for 2020 dues will have their 2021 dues waived.
New members are asked to register with NTS secretary and dues for 2021 will be waived. 
Normal dues resumed in 2023. 
MEMBERSHIP CLASSES

The Society has five (5) membership classes. These categories are defined by the Membership Committee on the basis of the following criteria:

Ordinary Member - $50: Investigators in the broad spectrum of research as it relates to neurotoxicity(neurodegeneration, neurodevelopment, chemical exposure, pharmacological exposures, human disease, therapeutics, toxicity screening, alternative model systems) including basic and applied experimental research, clinical research, epidemiological research. 

Honorary Member - $50: For persons, in or outside the scientific and clinical arena, who have made significant public or private contributions that promote development or education in Neurotoxicity, Council may authorize Honorary Membership status to nominees submitted by Council. Honorary Members shall have the same privileges as Regular Members except for voting and holding office.

Emeritus Member - $ Dues Waived: Members who have retired from their professional duties and who have chosen to be classified as emeritus status. Emeritus status can be obtained by notifying the ASN office of retirement, in writing, with a request for reclassification. Emeritus members shall have all the rights and privileges of the membership class from which they transferred.

Post-Doctoral Member -$25: Trainees participating in an accredited post-graduate research program.  Post-doctoral members may serve on committees but may not hold elected positions in the Society. 

Student Member - $25: Students enrolled in predoctoral and doctoral programs at degree-granting institutions Student Member status will end in the year in which the Student is eligible for Regular membership. Student members may not hold elected positions in the Society.


MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS

Submit a letter of intent to the NTS Secretary via e-mail.  Include details regarding affiliation, contact information, and provide a a bio-sketch or  curriculum vitae

Post-doctoral and Student applicants must provide a proof of their status (a short letter from the adviser).

Acceptance of membership and information for membership dues payment will be provided by NTS
